Trim Healthy Mama Beginning

Have you heard of Trim Healthy Mama? I hadn’t either until just a few months ago. But I knew I was going to be ordering the book and it worked out that I was able to ask for it as a Christmas gift instead of purchasing it myself.

When I first saw it I was very intimidated! It’s a HUGE book! But once you dive in you see why…it’s packed full of information but written in a way that is easy to read. I think if they would have taken out much of the “conversation” then the book would have been fewer pages however it would have been really difficult to read.

So I want to start right away even though I have to read first so I searched for and overview of the plan. And I found one! This gave me a little idea. I have also been talking to a good friend that has taken me under her wing to help me through the journey of this parenting, homeschooling, country living that I’m trying to figure out. What she has said has followed right along side what I’m learning through this awesome book!

So how have I started while I’m waiting to get through the book? First, I have joined several Facebook pages. This is a great place to learn from other people. I’m starting to collect the ingredients that I don’t have on hand now. I’ve started drinking the Shrinker and the Good Girl Moonshine. I’ve started cooking some of the Satisfying and Energizing meals that they recommend. I’ve learned that it’s best to start with S meals if losing weight is your goal so that’s what I’m sticking with for now as I continue to read. I’m also tracking my food I eat and my blood sugar to track what foods set off the insulin truck in my body so I know what foods are best for me!
